Is it safe to take calcium dobesilate?
Q: I am a 35 years old male and have been prescribed calcium dobesilate tablets by my doctor. I am not a diabetic. I experience itching around the anal area and pain in back and hip region. Kindly tell me whether calcium dobesilate has any side effects?
A:Calcium should only be taken when there is deficiency. Normal diet, such as milk, curd and other milk products, contain adequate amount of calcium. Excessive intake may lead to development of kidney stones.
