Is it safe to be near a MRI scanner during pregnancy?
Q: I am 10 weeks pregnant. I work in a firm, which manufactures MRI scanners. I don't have to go near the scanner but I sit close to the room where the lab is. Is my baby safe and will this have any adverse effect on my baby?
A:It has been tested, tried and found safe to be adjacent to an MRI magnet even in pregnancy.
