After check up the Doctor said that the hymen of my Daughter has not ruptured and prescribed a cream called oestrogen for topical application (for her vagina). Is it necessary to use local oestrogen cream for the hymen to rupture?

A:The hymen of a child should not be ruptured. Sometimes the vaginal opening is covered completely by skin for which oestrogen ointment may be applied. I cannot give you an opinion on whether you should use the ointment or not without examining the child.
