Is it advisable to take Meprate to postpone periods?
Q: I had taken Meprate 10 mg in order to postpone my periods for a couple of days. Unfortunately, I started taking Meprate the date my periods were due and immediately after taking a single pill, the bleeding started and stopped on the very same day. How long will it be before the bleeding starts again?
A:Meprate is not indicated for postponement of menstruation. Its use leads to menstrual changes/irregularities. The cycle will come back to normal within 2-3 cycles.
