Is Caverta (sildenafil) safe?

Q: I am 34 years old, married for the past 10 years and with 2 children aged 8 and 4 years. Recently my friend suggested to use Tablet Caverta 25 mg for satisfying sexual pleasure. I tried it and found it to be amazing. It really gave me and my wife great happiness. Now, can I use it on a regular basis. i.e thrice a week? Will there be any major side effects? Is there any harm in using it?

A:Caverta is not the name of the medicine but a brand name. The name of the medicine is sildenafil that is sold under other brand names also such as Penegra (in addition to Caverta). Sildenafil is indicated for treatment of Erectile Dysfunction that can occur in association with diabetes, spinal cord injury, psychosomatic disorders etc. Its use by people with normal functions should be avoided. All drugs, including sildenafil, have side effects; therefore they should be taken only when absolutely necessary.
