Is aspirin good for the heart?
Q: Please tell me how safe is aspirin protect 100 for heart problem (RBBB). I have heard that some people, after using it for a long time like 7-8 years, have blood vomiting and ulcers? What is the alternate medicine for aspirin protect 100?
A:Aspirin is administered for prevention of clotting both in the heart and brain. There is no difference when the dose is reduced; even 75-80 mg is adequate. One can take aspirin (Ecosprin) 75 mg one tablet daily with meal to avoid any adverse effect on stomach. In case you cannot tolerate aspirin, you can take clopidogrel (Noklot) 75 mg daily.
