Is 30 mg microalbumin safe for the kidneys?
Q: I have 30 mg microalbumin in my urine. I am 45 years old and diabetic for the last 16 years. My renal profile is otherwise normal. What should I do to reduce the risk to my kidneys? Please advise food, medicines and exercises?
A:30 gm proteinuria is trace proteinuria. If you could look after your diabetes you can protect your kidneys to a great extent. Key general issues are diet, exercise, meditation, periodic check and adequate control of diabetes would be just ideal.
