Injury - tetanus injection

Q: What is the minimum time within which one should get Anti-tetanus injection after a small injury?

A:An Anti-tetanus serum is not required in routine injuries. It is only recommended in an intensively crushed and dirty wound, in which case it is given within the first six hours after the injury. A routine tetanus toxoid is also not necessary if one is previously fully immunised. In case one is not, then the toxoid is administered within the first 24 hours after the injury.
