How to treat PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease)?
Q: I want to know why I get a lot of white discharge throughout the day and lots of it at night. Sometimes I also have pain in the lower part of the stomach. I have irregular periods right from the time I started getting them. Will this effect my pregnancy and do I have to do anything when I get pregnant? Can it be an obstacle to getting pregnant? I am getting married so I want to know all this and I am very shy to consult a doctor. Please help. Thanks.
A:This is mainly because of PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease). An ultrasound may be required. Consultant your gynecologist. She will advise you the medicines and local ointment. Untreated pelvic infection can damage the tube and cause difficulties in conceiving. So get it treated on priority.
