How to manage migraine?

Q: I am a man of 25 years. I am a software engineer by profession. Since last 4 years I am having headaches intermittently. Before the headache starts I have blurred vision and feel dizzy. Often vomiting also accompanies the headache and I feel relieved after it. The ache lasts for around 3 hours and it is not very severe although I couldn't do anything when the attack comes, and I don't feel like doing anything the whole day even after the pain subsides. The headache just happens anytime of the day or night. I consulted a doctor and after going through the CT scan report he diagnosed it as migraine. I was on medication for around 5 months. The medicines that I had during this period were Inderal(40) and Sibelium(5) and I took Mobizox whenever I had the ache. Although the medicines reduced the frequency I have not fully recovered. I have stopped taking the medicines for the last one year, and the attacks are still coming with a frequency close to around once every 45 days. Please advise whether the diagnosis and the medication will help me? Should I continue the same medicines for a longer period and whether I need to change my physician?

A:By reviewing your history, this is migraine. To prevent attacks there are many drugs - among the best are: a. Sibelium 10 mg 1 daily. b. Tryptomer 10 mg 2 at bedtime. If Mobizox relieves your headache, please continue the same.
