How should I deal with constant burping?

Q: I am a 26 years old woman having burping problem with nearly 7 to 10 burps after food for the past 2 months. I was suggested endoscopy and the impression says lax LES, otherwise normal study. I am taking tablets Panlord - 60 before food and Golbi 150 after food in morning and evening for the past 2 weeks and but get no relief. I also take Syrup Mucaine 3 times daily. I have pain/discomfort in chest for the past few days. I am not taking any spicy food, coffee or oily items. Another thing is that I feel hungry after 3 hours of eating, which allows gas to be formed. I have started to take food in smaller portions now. Please advise.

A:The primary cause of burping is swallowing of air with saliva, food and drink. Please note that air does not form in the stomach, but comes from outside. Therefore, you should make a conscious effort to avoid swallowing your saliva all the time, or indulging in activities like chewing gum and pan masala, etc.
