How can I prevent my vision from getting worse?
Q: I am a 11 years old girl having astigmatism. How can I protect my vision from getting worse? If I wear contact lenses, would my cornea shape change permanently?
A:In Astigmatism, generally, the cylindrical power tends to be quite stable. However, the spherical error increases (as this girl is now going into a growth phase) over the next five years. Only time will tell if the power will increase or not. Contact lenses temporarily change the shape of the cornea.
