Q: My 8 years old son is studying in Class III but he does not want to study at all. He always tries to waste his time. His mother is very serious about his studies and she teaches him. While he is forced to study, he tends to play with a scale, pencil box, eraser, etc. When he concentrates, he proves his capability and does all the sums and questions right. In the half yearly exams also he scored between 80 to 90% in all subjects but in final examination he has done mistakes at the last step of the question due to the lack of concentration. Please suggest.

A:If your son wants good marks, he must write with concentration and realise that careless mistakes cost him marks. It is only when he sees the situation clearly, he will improve. There is no need to despair. Let him work with or read other books and materials in addition to what is required in school. Make it interesting for him and for yourself.
