Q: I am 27 year old weighing 84 kg and 178 cm tall. I have never participated in any kind of sports in my life, but have done a little bit of body building. Currently, my stamina is low, but am trying to get it back. I am mad about rugby matches. Is it possible at this age and with the above explained conditions to learn and practice rugby? How do I build my stamina?

A:At any age, it possible to take up a hobby and excel in it with the notion that you will reach your goal, but with patience and perseverance. There is no age that one cannot pursue one's dreams. As you play, your stamina will build and your skills will increase. Besides, stamina has to be built up over a period of time, so please do not assess yourself on one or two occasions only, nor compare yourself with anyone but yourself. If you like, you can take up walking and include small bursts of jogging for a few minutes in between, then slow down till you catch your breath. By incorporating this, you may be able to endure a lot more.
