How can follicle size be increased?
Q: My wife is 39 years old and we are planning for our first baby. Her follicle size is 5 mm and 6 mm, which is small according to the doctor. She has taken Letoval for two cycles, but is unable to conceive. My sperm test report is normal. What medication is required to increase the follicle size? Her other tests were normal (like FSH and others). Is Clofert 100 mg fine for her to take?
A:Yes, clofert is ok - needs to be taken with USG monitoring to time egg rupture and simultaneous coitus - at the appropriate time. The drug can be tried up to 6 cycles before declared as failed. Tube patency and normal sperm examination should be ensured before starting clofert.
