Q: I have problem in my both ears. When I want to clean my ears with even a very soft substance like ear cleaner available in the market, there is instant pain in my ears when the substance touches. Otherwise it is ok. Is there any problem in my ears? Please advise.

A:Ears are largely self cleaning and I feel certain that no ear cleaners should be used even if they are very gentle. All that you need to do is to keep the outer part of your ear clean with water and a soft cloth but nothing should be inserted into the ear canal.
