Q: I read in a book a couple of years back that intake of salt with iodine causes infertility in man {due to low motility and sperm count}. Is it true?I have been taking iodised salt for the last seven years but when I read this I stopped. But now I read in another magazine that iodine free salt causes thyroid problems. What shall I do?

A:Usually all available salts are iodised. It is not proved that iodine causes infertility. Don't bother and if not married, get married. If you have problem like that, it will be solved.
