Does Concha Bullosa cause a breathing problem?

Q: I am 43 years old and for a long time I have been having trouble breathing, and it is getting worse with time. I went to the ENT and he said I had Concha Bullosa. On some occasions, I can breath without a problem, and sometimes I have trouble breathing. It comes and goes. Does this happen in this condition? I have developed a cough and sometimes feel like throwing up after I eat. Please help.

A:A Concha Bullosa does not usually change shape but you may be getting related intermittent sinusitis and postnasal drip. You may also have coincidental nasal polyps. Get a second opinion from an ENT surgeon who does endoscopic surgery, as the Concha Bullosa may be amenable to surgery.
