Do I need an anti-rabies injection?
Q: I had a dog bite (very low in intensity) near my knee two months ago. There was no impression of the teeth. The very next day I went to a doctor for the anti-rabies injection. After seeing the bite he said that there were neither teeth marks nor bleeding and felt no need for anti rabies injection. But still I have a fear in my mind. Can you allay my fear?
A:There is no need to worry. Rabies cannot occur if the skin is not broken.
