Do contact lenses help correct squint?

Q: I am 25 years old girl with high myopia. I always use glasses. The power for my right eye is: -9 and -0.75 cylindrical with 30 degree and for the left eye the power is: -5.5 and -1.00 cylindrical with 100 degree. Two years back I had to undergo a laser treatment to cure some weak spots in retina but now the problem is over. As per my knowledge no close relative has so much power or any other eye related problems. Are contact lenses safe for such a high power? I also have squint in my eyes. Can I get rid of this problem using contact lens?

A:Contact lenses would be ideal for your eyes but it will not correct your squint. You can have surgery for squint which will correct this.
