Q: I have a 8 year old daughter. Her current weight is 40 kg. What is the solution to shed weight.We make her do reqular excercise, stopped giving her cholates,juices etc. limit the consumption of nog veg. items Kindly suggest.

A:You need to restrict calories, by encouraging her to eat salads and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Discourage fried foods, chocolates, chips etc and enourage regular exercise- sports, dancing, skipping etc. She need not lose weight, but she should not gain any more weight over the next 2to 3 years.The increase in height will compensate for her present weight.
