Can stretch marks after pregnancy be removed?

Q: After giving birth to a child, wrinkles were formed on the abdomen/belly . Does the skin gets back to its old position automatically or we have to apply some cream? If we apply some cream does that affect the skin in future and are there any side effects?

A:Only the stretch marks which appear during pregnancy, are permanent. Initially they are red lines. Later they persist as pale lines. If by wrinkles you mean something other than these stretch marks, then you need to be examined to ascertain what you actually have. Sagging flabby abdominal wall can be restored to its original status by regular exercises. Probability of side effects from a cream will depend upon its ingredients.
