Q: Could taking paracetamol and codeine soluble tablets, 4 to 7 a day for a period of around 4 to 6 years cause microscopic particles of blood in my urine, nausea and lower abdominal pain?
A:Prolonged or excessive use of paracetamol can produce nephropathy (i.e. disorder of the kidney function) that can result in appearance of RBCs in the urine.
