Can lasik surgery treat astigmatism?
Q: I am an Indian currently residing in USA. I have 2.50 power and the doctor said I have astigmatism. If I undergo lasik surgery can it be corrected to 0 power. Do you do surgery for power 2.50?
A:Your astigmatism is correctable by lasik or astigmatic keratotomy. You should consult a Refractive surgeon/Cornea specialist, who would evaluate if your cornea is fit for surgery. And it would be much economical for you to have it operated in India just about Rs 10-15,000/-.
