Can insulin be replaced by homeopathic medicine?
Q: Dear Sir, My mother has diabetes for the last 25 years and last year the doctor started insulin injections - 12 and 8 units 2 times morning and evening. There is one homeopathic medicine which can be taken orally. Please advise if insulin can be substituted by this drug. Thanks, R.R. Kalia
A:The key factor in diabetes management is the degree of control. If your mother is well controlled on insulin, dont try to change it. In any case there is nothing better than insulin for treating diabetes. I don't believe homeopathy will do any good.
