Q: I was told that I had tuberculosis as a child and took medication for 1.5 years. Since then I have been told that I have to never worry about it again. But 2-3 days back someone told that I could pass the TB infection to my kids just by cooking their food. I need to know if this is true because I would do anything for my kids and the last thing i want to do is give them TB?

A:I don't think, if your tuberculosis has been completely cured and you don't have any evidence of active tuberculosis, you can transmit tuberculosis to your child by cooking their food.
