Can I give the typhoid vaccine again to my daughter?

Q: My 2 years old daughter got typhoid 9 months back and the doctor gave her a typhoid vaccine a month after she recovered from it. So she had typhoid vaccine at the age of 16 months. Now she has turned two and is due for her typhoid vaccine as per her immunisation chart. Should I get her vaccinated again? Also, what other vaccines are recommended at the age of 2?

A:An injectable typhoid vaccine below 2 years of age is highly unlikely to be protective. Therefore if you want protection from typhoid fever, you must vaccinate at 2 years age. Advise on other vaccinations will depend upon what vaccinations the child has already received.
