Can I give my child the Easy 5 vaccine at 6 months?

Q: My son is 6 months old. He had BCG at the time of birth and after that he had two doses each of DPT, OPV, and hepatitis B. We have not administered haemophilus influenza (Hib) vaccine till now. Can it be given now? Recently, I came to know about Easy 5, which contains all the above (DPT, OPV, hepatitis B, and also Hib). My question is that can my child be administered EASY5 now as the third dose as it is much cheaper than individual injections and also it contains Hib, which my child did not receive earlier.

A:It is usually considered cleaner to give the same brand of vaccines for the entire course. However, you can try the option of easy five also but remember that this will only give one dose of Hib vaccine, which will not complete the entire course. Also to complete the entire course of DPT three doses are required and these should be finishing by 14 weeks age.
