Can I give cow’s milk to my 3.5 months old daughter?

Q: My three and a half months old daughter is breastfed supplemented by Farex formula 1. We would like to introduce her to cow's / buffalo's milk replacing the formula. Which one is better - cow or buffalo’s milk? Her spit outs with formula milk are extremely high. Please suggest.

A:I don't think you should start animal milk or cow's milk so early; preferably do so after 1 year of age. Breast milk is best for the initial 6 months and you may gradually introduce semisolids after that. However, if due to some reason you have to give top feeds, give her formula and accept spitting of milk once in a while.
