Can I conceive with blocked fallopian tubes?
Q: I am having pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and my left tube is blocked. Right tube has minimal dilatation and hydrosalpinx. My husband and I were treated with ciprofloxacin (10 days) and Flagyl (7 days). Uterus lining is fine and I ovulate every month on 14th day. What are my chances of conceiving? How many days after PID can one conceive?
A:Tubes are blocked due to PID. Even after medical treatment, you have to get laparoscopy that will confirm the diagnosis; also the correction of the tube can be done. Because with the blocked tube, the chances of conception are nil even if you ovulate.
