Can a person with bone tuberculosis have sex?
Q: What is bone tuberculosis (TB)? If my sexual partner has this disease, then can I have sex with her?
A:Bone TB refers to tuberculous infection involving the skeletal system. It is not infectious as a case of lung TB, where the respiratory secretions are infectious in open cases; however an X-ray of the chest should be done to rule out any lung involvement. If the x-ray is clear, and there are no respiratory symptoms, your partner is not infectious, and there is no risk in having sex.
