A:There are many causes of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), and the treatment will depend on the cause. There is no kit for the treatment of PID. Fixed-dose combination of ofloxacin with ornidazole is irrational and illegal. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has advised immediate stoppage of the manufacture and sale of this combination.
