Are Sitrodin HP injections all right to stimulate conception?
Q: I am a 39 years old woman and have been trying to conceive for the last eight months. All my reports are normal. Now, the doctor has asked me to take Sitrodin HP 150 IU injection for seven days. Am I taking the correct injection? My FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) level is normal and this injection is a FSH stimulator. The injections are new, manufactured by Serum Institute of India. After getting these injections, I am not feeling well.
A:Some women require ovulation augmentation - however, the FSH that is given is less in amount than those requiring ovulation induction. The dose needs to fine tuned depending upon folicle monitoring reports and serum estradiol levels. Please consult an experienced infertility specialist. Also, you need to report to your present doctor, if you are not feeling well with the injection.
