Are oats nutritious enough for a 2 years old child?

Q: My baby is 23 months old and I have started to give her oats. I am giving three spoons of oats that is powdered and mixed with water/milk and salt/sugar (semisolid form). Are oats a sufficient diet for her? What is the correct measure to give the oats?

A:A 24 months old child should not only be eating oats, but also everything cooked at home. Infact you should not be cooking anything special for her at all. The emphasis should be on home cooked fresh food including rice, chapati, pulses, vegetables & fruits. She should have atleast 3 solid meals in a day with atleast 2 snack breaks in between where she could be given fruits/milk etc.
