A:Intron A is the brand name of a medicine called interferon alpha which is used in the treatment of Chronic Active Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. Other medicine used in Hepatitis B is lamivudin 100 mg. The response to medicines varies from patient to patient. If these medicines are very expensive in Kuwait, you can buy them in India at the following costs: Roferon A (equivalent to Intron A) at Rs. 1361 for a 3-million units injection. Lamidac 100 (lamivudine 100 mg) at Rs. 120 for 10 tablets.
