Q: Are slow release Budesonide tablets, used for treatment of Crohn's disease available in India?

A:Budesonide for Crohn's disease does not seem to be available on the Indian market. We have on the market two drugs at least, Foracort and Pulmicort, which contain budesonide. These are however in doses that are used for asthma. The two pharmaceuticals with these preparations are CIPLA and Astra-Zeneca.
