Dr. KK Handa, MS, DNB, MNAMS is presently working as head of the Department of ENT & Head Neck Surgery, Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon.
Prior to that he was working as Associate Professor and Unit Head Department of ENT All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He did his Post graduation and Senior Residency from PGIMER Chandigarh and is a graduate of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. In 2004 he did a commonwealth fellowship in Lasers and Laryngology at Glasgow Royal infirmiry, Glasgow UK.
His interest areas are voice disorders, phonosurgery, head and neck surgery, lasers, endoscopic sinus surgery, sleep medicine, sialology and otology including cochlear implants.
The problems he looks after include hoarseness (change in voice), care of voice of professional voice users, cancers of head, neck and skull base, nasal obstruction and discharge, discharging ear, deafness, snoring, sleep disorders and vertigo.
He has conducted number of workshops and has been invited faculty internationally and nationally.
He has about 80 publications to his credit.
Presently he is the Vice President of the Association of Phonosurgeons of India and was the founder secretary of the same. He is also governing body member of the Association of Otorhinolaryngologists of India and has remained as Secretary of the Neurootological and Equilibrium society of India.
He is credited with being among the first in the country to do Thyroplasty for vocal cord paralysis.
