Will changing my job aggravate my back problem?

Q: I am 25 years old and suffering from L4, L5 disc prolapse and underwent traction then EST. But unfortunately I couldn't avoid bike riding, so got the pain again. I then underwent the same treatment as I was not happy with my recovery. I used to get swelling in my feet and pain in my heel. My weight increased by 15 kg in one month. I underwent ayurvedic treatment and am fine now. I don't have any pain. I have completed taking medicines. As per doctor's advise I am only doing spinal exercises regularly and am comfortable. I am changing my job from marketing and electrical core to software sector. Will that sector disturb my health? Will I get the pain again later? I have planned not to drive the two wheeler for 2 years. I am maintaining my weight around 66-68 kg.

A:I see no problem with your plans to change your profession so long as you continue to do your spine exercises regularly and do not let your weight increase. There may be a recurrence of the problem if you unduly strain your back. Day to day activities should be carried out as normal and you should observe precautions as advised by your physiotherapist.
