Q: My son (1 year) was suffering from cold & high fever and the doctor gave him Paracetamol syrup & Ampicillin oral suspension. He has recovered but since 1 week he is not taking any food. Some time we force a little to give him some food and it looks as if he is losing weight. When ever he eats he starts to plays and the problem with him is that he loses interest in food. He is taking breast milk. Kindly advise.

A:After antibiotics, children often lose their appetite for food. Do not worry. Give some multivitamin syrup for 2-3 weeks and keep encouraging the child to eat.
