Why is my wife having pain in various parts of her body?

Q: My 28 years old wife has been suffering from severe pain in various joints and teeth throughout the day for the past month. She delivered a child four months back through C-section. How can postnatal pain in various parts of body be treated? We consulted a doctor who advised not to take medicine. But two days back, she was asked to take Nimumac by another doctor, which gave relief. Is Nimumac advisable while breast-feeding?

A:Post-natal pains usually present as abdominal cramps and muscle fatigue for about 48 hours after a normal delivery. Pains involving joints and the rest of the body are not post-natal. You should see a physician / orthopaedic specialist to sort out the joint and generalized body pains. Nimumac, I suppose, is nimesulide and should not be taken during breast-feeding.
