Why is my left shoulder drooping down?
Q: I am 21 years old. While I was going to college, I used to carry a lot of weight in my bag and hang it on my left shoulder. Now even after completing college life, my left shoulder is quite drooped down as compared to the right one. My colleagues are criticising me for looking unequal in frame. Please help me, are there any exercises?
A:It is unusual to have a shoulder drop off on one side due to carrying weights. However, this may indicate underlying disorders like scoliosis or sprengels deformity. If there is curvature in the spine, it may cause one shoulder to be raised compared to the other. I would recommend seeing an orthopaedic surgeon and getting necessary X-rays.
