Q: I delivered a baby boy 15 days back through c-section. The weight of my baby was 2.62 kg at the time of birth. He sleeps the whole day and at night he gets up only to have milk and sleep again. He cries a lot too. I feed him every 2 hours, but still once he gets up he starts crying. Basically he knows only sleeping, drinking and crying. Is it normal?

A:This is perfectly normal. All newborn babies sleep 23 out of 24 hours in the first 6 weeks of life and slowly become more awake and alert, as they get older. Do not worry. Let your baby sleep, feed and grow.
