When can I start exercising after a caesarean delivery?
Q: I am a 28 years old female, had a c-section 3 weeks back. I cook, take care of my baby, feed him and also do little bit of domestic work like dusting etc. I do not experience any discomfort while doing all this. When can I start exercising/walking on the treadmill?
A:The work that you are doing in the house should not be too difficult unless you have been specifically told not to do it. If you were already exercising before you delivered, then you can go back to it slowly after 6 weeks. But if on the other hand, you have not been a regular exerciser, then you should wait until you get the go-ahead from your doctor and then gently work yourself into an exercise routine.
