What should I do for nodules on my body?
Q: I have nodules (slightly elevated) on both side of my stomach and also on the thigh and upper arm; the number of nodules are increasing and it gives pain when slightly pressed. I consulted a surgeon and replied that there is not any medicine available to remove this fat nodule or to stop this kind of nodule.
A:These surface nodules are probably neurofibromas, or lipomas. They tend to increase in numbers. The increase cannot be stopped or slowed by any treatment yet known. The nodules are benign, and will not harm you. Larger nodules, and painful nodules, can and should be surgically removed.
