What should be done for non-ulcer dyspepsia?

Q: I had pain in my navel area for which I underwent an endoscopy. The report says that there are multiple erosions in the gastric antrum. I have already taken a 6 weeks course of Razo 20 mg but still I feel pain in my navel area throughout the day along with some burning sensation. Please advise?

A:It appears you have a condition called non-ulcer dyspepsia. 1. You should avoid taking aspirin-like medicines such as ibuprofen (collectively called NSAIDs). 2. Take a regular diet but avoid anything which by experience you find aggravates your problem. 3. Continue Razo as it is a safe medicine and you can stop it once your symptoms are gone.
