What should be done for multiple fat deposits all over the body?

Q: A friend of mine has fat deposits all over his body. These look like lumps on his hands, legs etc. and it is spreading to other parts of the body as well. He has consulted many doctors and they are of the opinion that nothing can be done. He had once got some of the lumps remeoved surgically and the test results of the sample proved to be only fat. He used to excersise in the gym daily and even though he lost weight the fat lumps are still there.

A:The condition is called Multiple Lipomatosis, a genetically inherited disease. There is no way to prevent the occurence or enlargement of fatty tissues. Any unsightly fat, or compressing an important structure only need surgical removal.
