What is the cause of joint pains after delivery?
Q: I am a 29 year old married woman. After my second delivery I have been having severe joint pains before my menstruation starts. I weigh around 50 kgs. Both my deliveries have been normal and I had no complications at all. I had been taking calcium supplements while I was nursing my child. My mother suffered from arthritic pain during her menopause. Do I need to take any dietary precautions?
A:It appears that you are probably developing some variant of rheumatoid disease and it will be advisable for you to have yourself properly investigated and if you are suffering from this disease then you will need treatment for a long time. For immediate relief of pain I am sure you could be taking some medicine and in case no definite disease is found after investigations and examinations then you have to take pain killing medicines off and on.
