Q: For past ten days my urine is reddish in colour and turbid. There is no pain or irritation while urinating. Urine analysis showed blood level to be 3+ and protein level 2+. The scan of the abdomen and urinary tract is normal. What may be reason for this?

A:It appears to be a painless haematuria and one will have to investigate you for the cause of this bleeding. Besides other investigations, one would have to get 24 hr urinary protein estimation also done to rule out hematuria due to medical disease of the kidney. Kindly consult a nearby qualified urologist and he will surely be able to find out the cause and treat it too. You must get investigated even if the blood in urine gets cleared.
