What is the cause and treatment for my daughter's running nose?

Q: My daughter is 1 year and five months old. She is having a problem with common cold frequently- running nose for two months now. There are no other problems such as cough, sneeze or fever, but the running nose. She finds difficulty in swallowing due to this and has reduced her intake of food. I have consulted many doctors and they have said her chest and throat are clear. But the problem of running nose still persists. What is the cause and treatment for this?

A:It seems she is suffering from allergic rhinitis. Get an ENT evaluation done for adenoids or any other problem. If that is fine, local nasal drops may help.
