What is the appropriate treatment for recurrent perianal abscess?

Q: My problem is of Recurrent Perianal abscess. I consulted a gynaecologist who gave me: a) Tab Cifran CT- 500 mg 10 tabs for 5 days; b) Tab Orthobid Plus 10 tabs for 5 days; c) Tab Rantac 10 tabs SOS. After 5 days I got some relief but not fully so she gaven me Cifran - 500 mg 10 tabs for another 5 days. After another 5 days when the problem could not be cured she advised Azithral - 500 mg 3 tab for 3 days and suggested blood sugar PP. Blood Test Shows : Plasma Glucose (Random): 80 mg/dl; Hb: 11.8 gm/dl (81.4%). Then I consulted another gynaecologist who has not given any medicine but advised the followings: a) Sitz bath with Betadine Lotion followed by application of a lotion in the affected area. But the problem is still the same. Earlier, one perianal abscess followed another one but after betadine sitz bath there are more than 5-6 perianal abscesses. Please advise.

A:A perianal abscess is a collection of pus near the anus. The usual treatment for a perianal abscess is surgical drainage. Surgeons treat this condition more often than do gynaecologists. You should consult a general surgeon. Also, note that a perianal abscess may be associated with a fistula in ano. Your surgeon will advise you.
